Dr. Pow-anpongkul is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine. He was born and raised in Douglas, Georgia. He has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. While in medical school at the Ohio State University his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which inspired him to pursue oncology.  Dr. Pow-anpongkul received two prestigious research grants from the American Brain Tumor Association and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons to conduct oncolytic virus research. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Southern California and was Chief Fellow for Hematology/Oncology at UCLA Harbor and City of Hope Medical Centers.

Dr. Pow-anpongkul has always made excellent patient care his top priority. He enjoys learning about his patients’ lives in order to understand the whole person. He considers it a sincere privilege to be entrusted with his patients’ care. During his free time, he likes to explore nature with his cocker spaniel, sing and play his ukulele.
